Petrina L. Jones

Petrina L. Jones is Vectre's Government Relations Associate. For over eight years, she has developed and maintained the firm's extensive legislative and bill tracking systems. Jones provides in-depth research on local and state issues and helps to coordinate grassroots projects. Vectre's clients depend on Jones to keep them abreast of the status of pending legislation and to provide detailed reports on statewide political events. Jones keeps Vectre's clients well organized and prepared by coordinating their participation in local and out of town political fundraising events held by individual candidates, political parties, caucus groups, and inaugural events. Annually, lobbyist disclosure statement filings to the Secretary of the Commonwealth's Office on behalf of Vectre's clients are prepared by Jones on a timely and accurate basis.

Well known as a former regional actress, Jones earned a BFA in Music Theatre at the Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in 1993. She has toured the United States as a member of a nationally acclaimed children's theater company, Theatre IV America. Jones also worked on "Hugs and Kisses," a special community outreach show co-produced by Prevent Child Abuse Virginia and the Virginia Department of Social Service, and was the recipient of the 1997 Shenandoah Conservatory of Music Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award. For the past four years Jones has participated in Governor Warner's Partnership for Achieving Successful Schools by mentoring at Clark Springs Elementary in Richmond, Virginia. She is currently working with the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice program, "Finding Words Virginia."
